HollCasino

★★★★☆ 4.1 Editor rating

NL Holland Casino surprised me by being far calmer than its loud name suggests. It's a casual pick-up-and-play title built around short rounds of tapping, matching and clearing simple boards, with a clean menu that never buries you in pop-ups. I opened it expecting chaos and instead got something I could play one-handed on the tram.

The controls are the strong point. Everything works with a single thumb: tap to select, swipe to shuffle a row, hold to preview a move. Rounds last a minute or two, so it fits neatly into the little gaps in a day. Progression is gentle, unlocking new board layouts and colour themes as you go, which gives you a reason to come back without ever demanding a long session.

It won't blow anyone away with depth, and the mid-game rounds can feel a touch repetitive. But as a low-stress way to keep your hands busy while a podcast plays, it does exactly what it promises. I kept it installed longer than I expected.
